Continued

For a month now Sonny has not only been at the hospital with Brenda and Hunter
but, he's been keeping Deception afloat. He still hasn't found a way to tell
Brenda that Jax is trying to take over the company. He didn't want her to have
any added stress, but he knew she would be mad that he'd kept it from her.
They were sitting in Hunter's hospital room. Brenda was sitting in the rocking
chair and reading to
Hunter.
S:"do you want something to drink or eat?"
B:"No. I fine."
S:"Ok. Brenda there's some--"
Monica:"Sorry to inturupt but I have some news."
B:"What?!"
Monica:" I can't find one surgen who will do an artifical heart transplant. No
one's doing them. They were causing more harm than good. That's one less
opition for us."
B:"Monica there has to be something we can do for her."
Mon:"Brenda, we can only do what we've been doing. Keep her on the drugs and
just wait. She's on the list for a heart transplant. But like I said it's hard
to find a heart for an infant. It's almost impossible."
B:"No! I'm not giving up on her!"
Mon:"And neither am I! She's a strong little girl. She's a fighter! We're not
going to give up on Hunter! I have to go check another patient."
Monica left.
B:"Your awful quiet."
S:"What is there for me to say?"
B:"Forget it! Just FORGET IT!"
S:"Brenda what do you want me to say?! Do you want me to say I'm tired? Would
you like me to tell you that I hate seeing her like this?! Would you like me
to say I'd trade our little girl places?! B/c I would in a heart beat! I'd do
anything to give her a chance! I'd give her every last breath I had to keep
her alive if I could BUT I CAN'T!AND THAT HURTS! IT SCARES THE H*LL OUT OF
ME!!" Sonny broke into tears on the floor. Brenda walked over and
knelt down beside him. She wrapped her free arm around Sonny and held Hunter
closer. Sonny was still doing crying.
S:"It's Stone all over again, Brenda. I can't do anything to make this better
for Hunter and I couldn't do anything for Stone, but sit and watch. I hate it!
I should be able to make her life perfect and I can't! I promised to protect
the two of you from everything and I can't do one da*n thing about this. I
promised her Brenda!"
B:"Sonny I'm sorry. It's not your fault! Honey you didn't do this to Hunter."
S:"Why Hunter? Why our baby?"
B:"I don't know. But Sonny we're going to get through this! ALL of us!!"
Sonny took Brenda in his arms and they both cried. Both lending and using a
shoulder. Later Brenda was back in the chair with Hunter. She started singing
a song. And Sonny sat listening.

It's been 2 months and Brenda is around 6 or 7 months pregnant. (that's what I
get for spacing this out so much!! I forget how far along she is. But that
sounds about right.) And lately it seems that the sicker Hunter gets the more
Sonny and Brenda grow apart. The tension has them at each others throats for
weeks. Sonny has stormed out more than once and Brenda has left in tears a few
times. But both refuse
to give up. If not for themselves, for Hunter and the twins. Whom we now know
are a girl and a boy. Brenda has picked the names, but between all the fights
and all the tears she hasn't found the right time to tell Sonny. He's been
very distant the last few days. After there last fight, which had been twice
as worse as the time he'd found the wire, niether has said much to the other.
He'd finally told her about Jax's raid on Deception, and of course
she had to go out of her way to make everything look like his fault. She
hadn't doen it purposely, but resintly all they seemed to do was yell and cry,
yell and cry. She hadn't even seen him that morning, he'd just up and left
before she woke up. She's spent the whole day wondering how her life got to
this point, how had she gotten to where she was now? She was losing her child,
she was losing her husband and she was losing her mind. She felt so
helpless sitting there not being able to do anything for Hunter, and she knew
Sonny felt the same way, but niether ever talked about it. Brenda was playing
with Hunter and watching music video's when Jax walked through the door.
B:"Jax. Hi."
J:"Hi Brender. How's the little one?"
B:"She's having one of her better days."
J:"I'm glad to hear it. And what about you? How are you holding up?"
B:"As well as could be expected for someone who's daughter is dying."
J:"Brender, you have to keep faith. That little girl is strong like her
mother, she'll get through anything."
B:"She might, if she has both parents here to love her. And I might add that
your NOT making that an easy task!"
J:"What do you mean?"
B:"Jax I'm not stupid. I know about your attempt at a hostile take over. "
J:"That was before I heard about Hunter."
B:"Don't play that game with me! I've grown up, Jax. I know when I'm getting
screwed. And honey I hate to tell you this nut you will NEVER take Deception!
Sonny is running it while I stay here with Hunter. And he will NEVER give in
to you. Just for the H*ll of it he'll fight you with everything in him."
J:"Seems the old guy doesn't have much left! He can't take the stress."
b:"You've got a h*ll of alot of nerve coming here!"
J:"I came here for you Brender. I came here to see how you were-"
B:"Well I'm doing a h*ll of a laot better than my little girl Jax! Now I'd
appricate it if you'd leave!"
J:" I just came to talk to you Brender."
S:"That's not the point Jax! She asked you to leave. I'm not that nice, I'm
TELLING you to get the h*ll out of this room, before I throw your @$$ out
myself!"
J:"It was nice talking to you Brender. I'll be sure to call next time."
B:"Don't do me any favors."
Jax walked out smirking at Sonny the whole way. Once he was gone Brenda turned
to Sonny. She was glad he'd come.
B:"Where did you go this morning? I mean you must have left at the crack of
dawn b/c I was up at 7."
S:"I had a few things to do. How is she?"
B:"The same as always. Sonny talk to me!"
S:"I am! You keep saying this, but Brenda I don't know what to tell you!"
B:"TRY " I LOVE YOU" EVERY ONCE IN AWHILE!"
S:( In a low voice. Almost a whisper)"You knw I love you."
B:"I know you did. I know that there was a time that you told me every day
that you loved me. Sonny what happened? When we need each other most we fight.
It happened with Stone, and it's happening now! We can barely stay in the same
room for five seconds without getting into a HUGE fight! And Sonny I'll tell
you. That last one scared me. I feel like we're falling apart. "
Sonny just looked at her. He didn't know what to say, b/c he'd been thinking
the same thing. he just didn't know how to say it. Brenda shook her head and
started again.
B:"That's all I ever get from you anymore! A look. Do you hear me? Do YOU?! DO
HEAR A WORD I'M SAYING SONNY?! DO YOU!?! We're falling apart Sonny and niether
of us is doing anything to stop it! WHY?!"
S:"We're not falling apart!"
B:"Sonny we are! I don't lik it anymore than you do!"
Sonny took her by the shoulders and pulled her close. he held her as tight as
he could without sqeezing her to death. She wrapped her arms around him and
they just hung on to each other fo rthe longest time. Before he let her go,
Sonny whispered in her ear.
S:"I love you. I love you more than life itself."
Brenda pulled away a little and looked into his eyes.
B:"I love you too Sonny."
S:"We're gonna get through this. the three of us."
B:"Five sweetheart. Don't forget the twins."
S:"The five us. And we are going to have our happy, peacful life. we are going
to raise our three beautiful children and we're going to Live happily ever
after.
Brenda smiled before laying her head back on his shoulder.
The next three weeks were h*ll for Sonny and Brenda. Hunter's condition
started to decline and Jax continued his attack on Decpetion. And to beat all
both Robin and Mike were now in trhe hospital. Robin was running a high fever
and Mike had had a heartattack. But things between them remained somewhat
strong. They weren't fighting, they were actually talking, they had so much on
the line they couldn't afford to lose each other. They had started
Mike on a rehab program and Robin on a new medicine. But there still wasn't
much they could do for Hunter. Things started looking worse for their little
girl. She was now on full respitory support. She had feeding tubes, and IV's,
and she was getting very thin.
Lois and Ned and Luke and Laura were all there. And Jason was one his way from
getting Mike. Robin wasn't allowed down to see her b/c she herself was still
so sick. Jason walked in with Mike a few minutes after Lucy and Kevin had
left. Mike sat beside Brenda and Sonny. Sonny has hold Hunter in his arms and
talking to her. Brenda saw Karen and Joe leave the room.
K:"I never thought I would see a child I helped bring into this world, leave
it."
Jo:"I know how you feel. I never thought that this would happen. i always
thought that by some miracle we'd find her a heart."
K:"I know. Jake and I worked day and night to try to find something, anything
that would help her."
Back inside Sonny was still holding Hunter. They all listened as Sonny sang
his daughter to sleep.

Brenda saw hunter close her eyes and knew that she'd never see those
preasious brown eyes again. She 's never look and see that beautiful smile.
She turned to look at the moniter and saw the the line go flat.
B:"Noooooo!" Brenda began to cry hysterically. Lois, Mike and Jason all held
her. Luke just watched as Sonny sat there never moving, just rocking his
little girl. Never taking his eyes off her, never turning to see Brenda. It
was like he was in his own little world with Hunter. He watched as Sonny
lifted her and and gentally laid her head back down on his shoulder. Never
breaking his rythem of the rocking chair. Luke saw the tears swelling in
Sonny's eyes and he watched them roll down his best friends cheeks. After a
few minutes of sitting there with his daughter he stood and laid her back down
in the hospital crib, laid her teddy bear beside her, leaned over and kissed
her forehead and went over to Brenda. She was still crying uncontrolably. They
all backed away and allowed him to kneal infront of her. Sonny pulled her
hands down away from her face and held them, then he took her face in
his hands and kissed her forehead almost in the same spot he'd kissed Hunter.
He took her in his arms and held her tight. They were both crying. Sonny
stroking Brenda's hair, and trying not to breakdown completely. But soon it
was no use and he too lost it. Hunter's furneral was held a few days later.
Just like her birthday party 8 months earlier everyone in town had shown up.
They had her buried up on the hill that over looked the farm so she'd
always be close to home.
Three weeks later Brenda started going back to the office with Sonny. She had
been throwing herself into her work at home and now she felt that being home
isn't where she wanted to be. That morning they had a meeting with Jax and
Jerry. Brenda was almost 8 months pregnant and had been ordered by the doctor
to stay out of stressful enviroments. Which happened to be the one rule she
hadn't been following, but
then again since when did she ever follow the rules? Rules were ment to be
broken, or at least bent a little. Jax and his brother were wating in the
conference room when both Brenda and Sonny walked in together.
S:"Jerry, Jax."
Ja:"Sonny. Brenda."
Brenda didn't even look to Jax she just took her seat at the head chair and
Sonny sat beside her.
B:"Let's skip the small talk and get to the point. I'm REAL sick of you in my
life Jax. Whether it be in marriage or buissness. You are an annyoing pest.
And your saddly mistaken if you think that you are going to have any part in
this company. I'll roast in h*ll before I let that happen."
Ja:"Morning to you too Brender."
B:"What do you want?"
Ja:"Isn't it obvious? I'm a corprate raider Brender. I take over companies,
that's my job. Deception just happens to be the next one on my list."
Je:"Mrs.Corinthos, if I may call you Brenda?"
B:"What ever floats your boat."
Je:"Brenda, what my rather arrogent brother is trying to say is-"
B:"Jerry you don't have to explain your brother to me. I lived with him, I
almost married him twice. What your brother is trying to say is exactally what
he's saying. And here me when I tell you that the Jacks will have NOTHING to
do with this company. And hear me when I tell you to stop this vengful attempt
to take it over before you end up nbot only walking away w/o Deception but a
few others. I have friends in high places, a lot higher than the
Jacks family and they will back me with every move I make! If I have to I'll
buy back the stock from the holders and sell them to people whom I know can
and will hold onto them."
Ja:"If your talking about Edward Quartermain brenda then your full of it.
Money talks to Edward, I get the right amount and his stock is mine. That's
the way with all the Q's."
B:"No Jax not Edward, although your wrong Edward wouldn't sell me out b/c he
knows I'd kill him. No I was thinking along the lines of a few old friends."
Ja:"Like?"
B:"That's for me to know. Your best to walk out of here right now and never
look back. I'm giving you your chance. Stay out of my face, stay out of me way
and stay out of life, or I warn you Jax you'll wish you'd never met me!"
Ja:"I'll consider it. Sorry to hear about Hunter."
Brenda stood up and pointed towards the door. Before sonny could say anthing
Brenda started in on Jax.
B:"You know where the da*n door is. USE IT! And I swear to you Jax I'll kill
you. Don't try me."
Jax and Jerry got out of their seats and grabed their coats.
Ja:"Always a pleasure Brenda."
B:"OUT!! And I'm warning you Jax!"
Brenda was pacing the room while Sonny talked on the phone.
B:"Who are you talking to?"
Sonny held up his finger meaning just a minute.
B:"Tell me!"
S:"Will you hold on?"
B:(sarcastically) "To what?"
Sonny looked at her.
B:"Sorry."
S:"Great. Thanks I owe you." Sonny set his cell phone on the table.
S:"I bet you would like to know who I was talking to."
B:"gee ya think?"
S:"I was talking to a few of the investors. They have no plan on selling out
to Jax."
B:"good."
S:"Sweetie, I really think you should take it easy."
B:"I'm fine. I'm just a little exhusted."
S:"Yeah. me too. Come'er." Brenda walked into his open arms willingly. "I love
you Brenda."
B:"I know. I love you too.
S:"I know."
They decided they'd pay Mike a visit. Brenda, Mike and Sonny were all sitting
in Mikes living room.
S:"So pops. how ya feelin'?"
M:"I'm doin' good. what about you two?"
S:"As well as could be expected."
M:"Bren?"
B:"I'm hangin' in there Mike."
M:"I know it's hard sweetheart."
Brenda gave him a weak smile then walked into the kitchen to pour herself some
coffee.
M:"How's she really holding up?"
S:"I don't know. She's been throwing herself into her work. She's not been
getting enough sleep. H*ll half the time I don't know if she's even eating!
And this Jax sh*t isn't helping matters much."
M:"She looks like she could use a real LONG vacation."
S:"Easier said than done! With the twins ready to come soon and this take over
, and Hunter, she's so tied up in knots I don't know how to untie her."
M:"Just be there for her, son. That's all you can do.She needs you more now
than ever before."
S:"I have no intentions on going anywhere w/o her again!"
M:"Glad to hear it."
B:"SONNY!"
Sonny and Mike both jumped up and ran to the kitchen. Brenda was gripping the
side on the counter to keep from falling.
S:"Bren?"
B:"It's too soon! G*D it's too soon Sonny!"
Sonny and Mike helped Brenda down to the car.
M:"I'll meet you there."
S:"Ok."
When Mike finally got to the hospital they had already taken Brenad back and
Sonny had went with them. Mike called everyone and told them what had happend.
8 hours later Bobbie and Amy wheeled out two incubators (sp?). Dr.Newman came
back out and told them that they could go in one at a time, b/c Brenda was
very exhusted. Luke just laughed.
Lu:"I bet she is!"
R:"Are the twins ok?"
Dr.N:"Earlier than expected, a little under wieght but that will change soon
enough. Both have a good set of lungs and both are going to be just fine! It's
Brenda that worries me."
Julia:"Is something wrong with my sister?"
Dr.N:" Nothing physicaly. I know post pardum depresion and this isn't it. I
just hope she pulls out of this. I know Hunter still ways heavey on her mind
but she's not doing good."
M:"Jewls why don't you go in and talk to her first."
Julia:"Are you guys sure? I know you all wan to talk to her too."
M:"Your her sister."
Julia:"Ok" Julia peaked through the door.
Julia:"Hey."
S:"Hi."
Jul:"Just came in to check on my little sis."
S:'I'll outside so you two can talk."
Jul:"No that's ok."
S:"I need to talk to everyone." Sonny leaned down and kissed Brenda's
forehead. "Be ok?"
B:"yeah."
S:"Ok. I'll be right back."
B:"Ok."
Sonny just looked at Julia as he walked by her. she patted him on the back and
then turned back to Brenda.
Jul:"hey sweetie. How are you feeling?"
B:"Like I just got hit by a bus."
Jul:"Yeha guess so. Look Brenda I'm not gonna sugar coat this-"
B:"You never have before. why start now?"
Jul:"Ok. Everyone is worried about you. Sonny is scared to death! Can't you
see that?"
B:"Since when do you give a d*mn how Sonny feels?!"
Jul:"Since I took the time to get to know him! Brenda you've gotta pull
yourself out of this! Youir not going to do yourself any good shutting
yourself away!"
B:"I JUST LOST MY DAUGHTER!"
Jul:"AND YOU GAINED JUST GAINED ANOTHER DAUGHTER AND A SON!"
B:"I hardly expect you to unserstand."
Jul:"What about Sonny?! Does he understand?! Does he know how it feels?! B/c
ya know he's been down this road before! Only this time he has had to watch
his wife and child suffer! He loved her just as much as you did! So don't do
this to him! Don't shut him out! Shut everyone else out but don't you dare
shut Sonny out! He's never given up on you Brenda! It took me a long time to
see it and it took me longer to trust it but Sonny loves you more than
anything! "
B:"get out Julia. I'm not in the mood to talk to you."
Jul:"you just don't want to hear the truth! I saw the look on his face just a
minute ago. What did you say to him?"
B:"Non of you buissness!"
Jul:"What did you say?!"
Mike:"How's she doing?"
S:"Couldn't tell ya."
M:"what do you mean?"
S:"She's said a total of 5 words to me."
Just then Jax walked up.
Jax:"Having problems Corinthos?"
S:"What the h*ll do you want?!"
Jax:"I just came by to give you my congradulations."
S:"yeah well you're congradulations aren't wanted and neither are you."
Jax:"Maybe Brenda will feel diffrently"
Jax started to walk in to the room but Sonny stepped infront of him
S:"I doubt she will."
Jax:"Well how would you know. She is talking to you. Funny isn't it. She just
had your kids and she won't talk to you. Gee do you think she's regreting her
mistake?"
Sonny had had it. His fists were balled at his sides, and then he just hauled
out and busted Jax right in the mouth. He'd caught Jax of gaurd, and hit him
again in the stomach. Mac and Jason let Sonny have a few more wacks at him
before Julia came out.
Jul:"What the h*ll is going on out here?!"
Mac:"Sonny is giving Jax something that is long overdue!"
Jul:"Break them up!! Brenda is in here trying to get out of bed to see what's
happening! Do it NOW!" Mac and Jason reclutantl;y pulled the two apart.
Jason held Sonny while Mac held Jax.
Mac:"Now do you two think you can calm down and act like human beings."
S:"I don't think that's possible for Jax."
Jax:"Watch it Corinthos!"
S:"What are you going to do Jax? Hit me?"
Jul:"You two stop it now! Sonny I'd love nothing more than to see you kick his
a$$ but now is not the place and time to do it!"
Both Jax and Sonny looked at her in dazed confusion. did she really just stick
up for Sonny?
Jul:"Now I'm gonna go back in here and talk to Brenda. Whether she like s it
or not! Sonny I suggest you go down and go see ou kids. Jax I seriously
suggest you leave!"
Jax shrugged Mac of him and left. Sonny and Mike and Jason and Luke walked
down to the nursery and saw the twins. Bobbie let Sonny come in and hold them
both.
Julia went back and sat on the bed beside Brenda.
Jul:"Now what did you say to Sonny?!"
B:"I TOLD HIM THE EXACT SAME THING I'M TELLING YOU! LEAVE ME THE H*LL ALONE!"
Mike and Lason watched as Sonny picked up his daughter. They could both
see the tears in his eyes. She looked so much like Hunter it was almost scary.
M:"Has brenda seen them?"
J:"I don't know. He didn't say."

Jul:"you told him that?!"
B:"YES AND I MENT IT TOO! I want everyone to just leave me alone!"
Jul:" What about the twins? Do you want them to leave you alone too?!"
B:"yes..no! NO! "
Jul:"I don't think you know what you want! I think you need to let Hunter go!"
B:"I don't care what you think!"
Jul:"Fine Brenda. You let yourself lay here, and you be miserable, and God
help Sonny sees that there is a world that doesn't revolve around you, and he
get's those kids as far away from you as he can!"
B:"SHUT UP JULIA! Just b/c you hate me-"
Jul:"I don't hate you Bren! I love you! Your my sister! I love you!!"
B:"GET OUT!"
Julia got up and walked towards the door.
Jul:"You digging youseinto a hole that you'll never get out of alone Brenda."
B:"OUT!"
Just as Julia walked out the door Sonny walked up.
S:"What did she say?"
Jul:"I pissed her off."
S:"Well what's new?"
Julia laughed.
Jul:"She's just not willing to let Hunter go."
S:"Neither am I, but I have to. I have to for her, for the twins."
Jul:"Don't let her go Sonny. No matter how hard she pushes, dont' ever let go
of her."
S:"I won't."
Jul:"good!"
Jason walked up to Robin.
J:"I'm gonna go run a few arrends. I'll be back after awhile."
R:"Do you want me to come?"
J:"No. Stay here. I won't be long."
R:"Ok. I love you."
J:"I love you too."
Jason walked out.

The next morning Brenda was sitting in the bed and Sonny was sitting in the
chair.
B:"Don't you wan to go home and get some sleep?"
S:"Nope."
B:"You don't have to sit here with me. I'm fine. really go."
S:"I can't my a$$ is glued to the chair."
B:"Dont' be stupid."
Sonny got up and sat on the bed.
S:"You gotta let it go. This isn't going to bring Hunter back!"
B:"Shut up Sonny!"
S:"No Brenda! You haven't even looked at the twins! They need you Brenda!"
B:"Hunter needed me too Sonny and look what happened!"
S:"There's nothin gwe could have done! Brenda it wasn't your fault! It wasn't
anyones fault!"
B:"Just go away Sonny. Please!"
S:"No! I lost a wife and child already in my life I'll be d*mned if I'm gonna
do it again! Please Brenda! I'm not asking you to forget Hunter! I'm asking
you to let her go! Niether of us will EVER forget her. But Brenda Addy and
Stone need you too. They are so tiny and so sweet."
B:"How'd you know what I was planning on naming them?"
S:"I found the baby books you'd bought and filled out. and I read it in
Hunters Baby book."
B:"And you don't mind?"
S:"No honey! Why would I? There beautiful names. And they are beautiful
angels! Will you at least let me take you down there to see them?"
Brenda looked at Sonny and nodded. Sonny helped her into the wheelchair and
wheeled her down the hall. When they got there Sonny opend the door and
wheeled Brenda inside. She touched the glass and looked in at Stone.
B:"Have you held him?"
S:"For a few seconds."
B:"He's so tiny."
Bobbie:"That will change! He's got a BIG apitite.(sp?) He almost out eats
Addy."
B:"Can I see her?"
Bob:"Sure. She's right over here."
Bobbie led Sonny and Brenda over to there little girl.
B:"Sonny!"
S:"I know. She looks so much like Hunter."
B:"Hi. HI sweety. Oh G*d Sonny she's so sweet!"
Sonny smiled over at Bobbie.
Bob:"Oh did you see the paper this morning?"
S:"No Why?
Bob:"They found Jax in his apartment. He ODed."
S:"You are kiddind."
Bob:"No I'm not."
B:"Jax Killed himself?"
Bob:"That's what the PCPD are saying."
B:"And you were calling me unstable!"
Brenda looked at Sonny and smiled.
B:"No I'm truly sorry to hear that. The poor twisted son of a b*tch."
Sonny busted out laughing.
Bob:"I take it this means you aren't upset."
B:"I'm not exactally going to cry a river at his funeral. But I wasn't wishing
this on him."
Sonny saw Jason standing at the window. Jason just nodded and Sonny knew right
away that Jason had taken care of the problem.Sonny smiled and rolled his
eyes. Jason pointed at Brenda and smiled. Sonny just nodded.

Six weeks later Brenda and Sonny were finally able to bring Addy and Micheal
home. Brenda and Sonny did just as Sonny said they would. They got their
peacful life, their happy home and they raised their two Beautiful children.
